The Soil of our Self
Led by Kamakshi Duvvuru
Hand in hand with ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ง, weโll follow ourselves down to the root, re-language ourselves in the soil of our self, finding words for what already lives within us.
We turn toward what exists beyond any external gaze, and toward what is felt before it can be named. Drawing from Hurstonโs writing, particularly Their Eyes Were Watching God, and the ways her character Janie comes to recognize her innermost desires, we move closer to the root of our own inner language.
What is the soil of our self, the most root and granular language of our inside? Shall we string and adorn ourselves with itโโgleam it aroundโ on the outside?
Join us for this Third Sunday Service offering as we gather in reflection, inquiry, and shared space.
